Spyware from Microsoft Windows XP Start Faster!

By default, Windows XP defragments the boot files. This theoretically allows faster startup. However, if you use regular defragmentation of your drives, you realize that you defrag lost precious seconds on every boot.
This trick, however, sufficiently known, can be misused.
Indeed, many people prefer to enable boot defragmentation. However, if you regularly use a defragmenter (such as Disk Defragmenter in Windows for example), defragmentation of boot files, so start slow. Disabling this defrag will therefore accelerate the startup of Windows XP.

Open regedit ( Start menu, Run ... type regedit )
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \\ SOFTWARE \\ Microsoft \\ Dfrg \\ BootOptimizeFunction
Change the value of the key to Enable N (Y default)
Then restart your computer.
