Resolving a hardware conflict
You've just buy a new graphics card but when installed there is a conflict with your sound card.
Why this happens, well that happens when two devices try to use the same resource (IRQ), and it results in a crash.
How to solve this problem:
Click Start, then Settings and Control Panel.
Search the Control Panel System icon and double-click it and select the Device Manager tab.
list of your hardware will appear with question marks before the devices that do not function well, typically due to a hardware conflict.
Select the card you have installed last (in our example, the video card) and click the Properties button and select the Resources tab.
In the window that appears, uncheck the Use Automatic Settings and then click the button Change settings.
Another window will open and you change the range of input / output until the message No conflict Conflict replaces.
Click OK several times to confirm and restart the computer which will give everything in order.
