Remove user name from Start Menu
If you use the default Start menu of Windows XP, you'll notice that the name of the current user is displayed in large at the top of this menu.
To remove, you must edit the registry.
Run Regedit and open the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Policies / Explorer. Click the Edit menu, click New then DWORD Value. NoUserNameInStartMenu name it. Double then click on it and enter 1 in the Value Data field. Confirm with OK, close the Registry Editor and restart your computer to apply the change.
