By default, Device Manager displays the devices connected to your computer.
To view devices that were previously installed but are no longer connected, open a command prompt by clicking Start, Run and type cmd and press Enter to validate. In the window that opens type the command set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1 then press Enter. Then enter the command
start devmgmt.msc and then confirm with Enter. Device Manager opens. Pull down the View menu and then click Show hidden devices to display devices disconnected. These appear when partially dimmed.
